When it came to Healthy Cheap Fast Food fast-food restaurants, we decided to go with the worst of the worst—the ones that keep their lights on until the wee hours of the morning.
This is what you should order when you’re in the mood for a cheap but nutritious fast food fix.
This means that the most nutritious options at Healthy Cheap Fast Food fast-food outlets are often the tiniest and thus the most affordable! As a result, none of these options will set you back more than $5.

Taco Bell
We had to start with this one because it’s a personal favorite of our founder (we miss you, Kyle!).
This is one of the most straightforward fast-food establishments to order healthily from.
If you want to cut down on calories and fat, Lewis suggests ordering anything at all on Tex – Mex Bell’s menu “Fresco-Style.”
Fresh pico de gallo is used instead of mayo, guacamole, reduced-fat sour cream, and cheese in Taco Bell’s “Fresco-Style” menu items. Fat is reduced by about 25% as a result of this.
What is Lewis’s favorite when it comes to the extensive Fresco menu? One hundred forty calories, 3 grams of fat, and 1 gram of saturated fat in a pulverized chicken soft taco.
A diet soft taco with avocado ranch sauce has 220 calories and 12 grams of fat; this has only 3.5 grams of fat and only 530 mg of sodium.
Plus, a taco costs just $1.19, so you could eat 3 of them and not break the bank.

Mcdonalds
McDonald’s may seem like a problem because of the fatty meat and melting cheese on one’s burger.
However, it turns out that the root of your issue may be closer to home. According to Lewis, there are many calories, fat, & sodium in the bread of any McDonald’s burger or sandwich.
The Healthy Cheap Fast Food carb-wrapped cousin of the classic hamburger has desserts, ketchup, onions, and mustard, but it does not have a bun.
Calories from fat and sodium in the first are 360 milligrams (mg), while the second has a whopping 490 milligrams (mg) and is loaded with fat and sodium.

Burger King.
We thought we knew how much fat and calories we consume is entirely wrong.
There are less than 250 calls and 12 grams of fat per serving in both dishes, but only if users avoid the temptation to splurge on extras.
Skip the cheese during your next BK burger, suggests Lewis. In addition, if you prefer chicken nuggets, be aware of the dip’s dangers.
Lewis explains, “The technique is in the side dishes..” 310 mg of potassium & 10 grams of sugar are in the BBQ sauce, so don’t use it.
In her opinion, ketchup, with 125 milligrams of potassium and 2 milligrams of sugar, is better.

Unfortunately, Wendy’s does not include sea salt fries on its list of healthy options.
While the wrap has 270 calories, 11 grams of fat, and 3.5 grams of saturated fat, it still contains 620 milligrams of sodium.
A BBQ ranch dressing adds 190 calories, 14 grams of fat, and 510 milligrams of sodium to your meal. Instead of bringing it to work, why not dress it at home?
It’s hard to go wrong with the ½ chicken salad with luminous balsamic dressing, but it’s also one of the more expensive options here. Saturated fat is 2.5 grams per serving, and sodium is 520 milligrams per serving.

Arby’s
I, for just one, have never been a fan of Arby’s, although many of my friends do.
This establishment has irked me (see now what I did there?). It’s like I’m trying to lick a salt rock all the time. And it turned out that I was correct after all.
That was a tough one! Lewis thinks so, too. Every item on the menu has a high sodium content!
“I told you so” isn’t something I want to do.
Lewis advises those who can’t get enough Arby’s to stick to the kid’s menu. Its junior corned beef sandwich has 210 calories, 7 grams of fat, 2.5 grams of saturated fat, and 530 milligrams of sodium.
Make sure you flush it down with such a huge bottle of water, which costs $1.49.

Hardee’s/Carl’s Jr.
Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. have some excellent low-carb options on the West Coast, but Lewis cautions that portion size is still important.
It is not uncommon for burger buns to be high in calories, fat, and sodium.” Lewis suggests that leaving the others off the burger may not be the worst option.
Even if you don’t have a dietary preference, skipping the bread can save you a lot of calories, fat, and sodium.
As a cautionary tale, Lewis warns against menu items such as the half-pound low-carb Thickburgers. This dish has 670 calories (56 grams of saturated fat, 21 grams of fat, and 1,310 mg of sodium), even though it only has 9 grams of carbs.
She recommends cutting back on the serving size and skipping the cheese to reduce sodium.
You’ll save 450 calories, 34 grams of fat, & 1,060 milligrams of sodium by cutting out the cheese.
To save yourself another 100 milligrams of sodium, Lewis suggests you remove the pickles from your meal.

The Church’s Chicken Chain
The Original Chicken Leg costs $1.29 as an entree.
Tiny Corn or Slaw — $1.79 per side
There are “reasonable portions” at this Healthy Cheap Fast Food restaurant, says Lewis.
For less than $2, you can get an original-style chicken leg with 110 calories, 6 grams of fat, 1.5 grams of saturated fat, and 280 milligrams of sodium.
However, an initial breast is a great choice, though it isn’t usually offered as a stand-alone item. There are 200 calories, 11 grams of fat, 3 grams of saturated fat, and 440 milligrams of sodium in this serving.
This is a good thing because there’s a lot of vegetables on the menu!.
The small corn or the coleslaw is excellent for a filling side dish with less than 200 calories.
On the other hand, Sauce can be a real problem, so be careful.
There are 140 calories & 15 grams of fat in just two tablespoons of Church’s Ranch. It’s straightforward to overindulge.
The honey sauce, which has 17 grams of sugar in its 80 calories, should also be avoided.
The ketchup, Lewis says, has only ten cals, 65 mg of sodium, and 2 grams of sugar, so stick with the tried-and-true classic.

Kentucky Fried Chicken
There are two entree options: grilled chicken breast and drumstick.
You might go hungry if users try to eat healthy at Colonels.
Although a brief look at the menu might suggest that there are some excellent choices, Lewis notes that the portion sizes “match the nutrition pretty sparingly!”
Lewis says, “That said, you’ll do best… ordering off the ‘grilled’ menu,” which is probably the case no matter in which you eat.
Compared to the breast, a 2-ounce grilled chicken pork chop has 100 calories; 4.5 grams of saturated fat; 1.5 grams; and 330 mg of sodium; while the breast has 90 calories; 3 grams of fat; 1.5 grams of saturated fat; and 300 mg of sodium.
Lewis suggests that you “bulk out the meal with veggie options.”
Corn is a healthy snack with 70 calories, 0.5 grams of fat, and no sodium.
The pre-salted green beans have 260 mg of sodium, despite having only 25 cals and no fat.

Sonic
The Dessert of The Choice: A Mini Melted butter Toffee Gelato Shake — $2.49 — is available.
The Reese’s Pancake Cone Dessert — $2.99 — is a delicious treat.
In my opinion, Sonic is about beverages.
There are a lot of sugary drinks to choose from, which makes them all the more appealing.
Lewis says, “Simply put, we all eat way too much sugar.”
There is a recommendation to limit our daily sugar intake to 48 grams (about 12 teaspoons). As a result, special occasions that call for ice cream should be treated.
Five times can find the recommended daily sugar consumption in Sonic’s large ice cream drinks.
When it comes to Healthy Cheap Fast Food portions, Sonic is a leader. This even includes the mini, which is a whopping ten ounces! Lewis advises, “Always go for the mini size.” “Don’t worry. You’ll still get a lot!”
